A year long project of using solely experimental typography to make a motion graphics piece. I also had to make a poster for this project as well. Initially the project started off as an idea to make a album booklet, website, merchandise, etc. for my own music. However things changed and I was suggested to take a new and different direction so I decided to work with motion. This project was the first project that I’ve ever done using after effects (I had used after effects previously, but not enough). Since I had such little experience with the program I had to learn most of the program (or what was necessary for what I was doing). Using simple things such as motion blur, easy ease, and exponential curves, it really helped my project come to life and look a lot more alive than what I had at the end of the first semester. I am extremely happy the way this project turned out. I would like to give a HUGE Thank You to Craig Lowy who took many hours to help me to practically learn the program, give me important tips and tricks, and help with suggestions to make it look even better. This project would not have came out as well as it did without his help. I’d also like to thank Jen Roos, Amy Stein, and Josh Gaetjen, as well as many others for their help and suggestions in making this piece look and turn out better.
